Yuji Naka, producer of Balan Wonderworld and co-creator of the Sonic the Hedgehog series, has pleaded guilty on two counts of insider trading. Naka has yet to receive his penalty for the crimes, the case is still being tried in Tokyo, Japan. Naka is among two other Square Enix employees that are on trial for insider trading.
Naka was first discovered to have purchased 10,000 shares of Aiming Inc for ¥2.8 million shortly before the announcement of Dragon Quest Tact knowing that the share price would increase. He was then outed for purchasing ¥144.7 million worth of shares in ATeam prior to the reveal of Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier.
