Square Enix has announced that it has delayed Luminous Productions’ Forspoken to the 24th of January 2023, the game was previously scheduled to release on the 11th of October 2022. The decision to delay the game was made after “ongoing discussions with key partners” so it’s likely that the game was delayed due to God of War Ragnarok releasing in November. Luminous Productions has confirmed that the development of the game is complete and that the team are now in the final stages of polishing.

Forspoken is due out for the PlayStation 5 and PC.

As a result of ongoing discussions with key partners, we have made the strategic decision to move the launch date of Forspoken to January 24, 2023. All game elements are now complete, and development is in its final polishing phase.
