A new report from Jeff Grubb has claimed that Electronic Arts has cancelled a remake of Dead Space 2 due to poor sales of 2023’s Dead Space remake.
The Dead Space 2 remake was supposedly in development at Motive Studios who has now been shifted over to help develop Marvel’s Iron Man and future Battlefield projects.
Since Grubb’s report, EA has come out to deny these claims. EA claimed that it was happy with the performance of the Dead Space remake.
EA responded by saying that there was “no validity to this story” however Grubb has since doubled down on his report. Other industry insiders have also supported Grubb’s report.
Dead Space is currently available on the PlayStation 5, PC and Xbox Series.

Now Isaac is alone with only his tools and engineering skills as he attempts to uncover the nightmarish mystery of what happened aboard the Ishimura. Trapped with hostile creatures called “necromorphs,” Isaac faces a battle for survival, not only against the escalating terrors of the ship, but his own crumbling sanity.
