Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the acquisition of Valkyrie Entertainment, the studio behind GUNS UP!. Valkyrie Entertainment has also assisted on several major titles such as God of War (2018), Halo Infinite and Forza Motorsport 7, the studio is also assisting Sony Santa Monica Studio on God of War Ragnarök. The studio is currently assisting on several AAA projects and working on two unannounced in-house titles. Herman Hulst, president of PlayStation Studios, claims that Valkryie Entertainment will “invaluable contributions to key PlayStation Studios franchises” hinting that the studio will be a support studio. Valkyrie Entertainment is the 18th team in PlayStation Studios, terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
