Teruyuki Toriyama has announced that he will be leaving Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Studio at the end of the year. Toriyama-san produced the Demon’s Souls remake, Bloodborne, Soul Sacrifice and more for SIE Japan Studio. Toriyama’s departure follows the departures of Keiichiro Toyama, Kazunobu Sato, and Junya Okura, all of whom left to form Bokeh Game Studio.
Here’s what Toriyama-san had to say:
I will be leaving Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios Japan Studio at the end of December. To all the users who have supported Japan Studio so far, thank you so much! I will continue to take on the challenge of creating new game IPs in my new company, and I ask for your continued support.
