Epic Games Publishing has announced that Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake 2 will release on the 17th of October 2023 for the PlayStation 5, PC and Xbox Series. Epic Games has also confirmed that the game will only be available digitally across all platforms, a decision which supposedly helped keep the game priced at $59,00 on console and $49,00 on PC. Remedy Entertainment also claimed that they don’t want to release a disc version if it would require a large download as it wouldn’t “make for a great experience”.
A new trailer for the game was also released during the PlayStation Showcase, confirming that Alan Wake 2 will have two playable protagonists.
