Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that the PlayStation VR2 has sold almost 600,000 units within its first six weeks on the market, meaning that it is currently tracking about 8% ahead of the PlayStation VR. This is a significant feat as the PlayStation VR launched at a cheaper price and on a platform with a 10 million larger install base. The PlayStation VR2 also had a staggered launch worldwide and will only begin hitting brick-and-mortar stores over the next weeks.

Sony Interactive Entertainment also confirmed that eight major titles are currently in development:

• Beat Saber
• Behemoth
• Crossfire: Sierra Squad
• Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord
• Green Hell VR
• Resident Evil 4
• Synapse
• The Foglands
