Sony Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that over 14.1 million, around 30% of the 47.4 million total members, of PlayStation Plus subscribers are on the Extra or Premium tier. This means that the Essential tier has over 33.3 million users whilst Extra has 6.1 million (13%) and Premium has 8 million (17%). Whilst it is somewhat surprising that the Premium tier has more subscribers due to how underwhelming it is it could simply be a result of PlayStation Now subscriptions being automatically converted into PlayStation Plus Premium.
