A new report from Areajugones, a Spanish video game outlet, has claimed that Konami is working on a Metal Gear Solid remake for the PlayStation 5. The report claims that the remake is exclusive to the PS5 but the claim is vague so it’s unclear as to whether the remake is a console exclusive or timed exclusive like with the Silent Hill 2 remake.
The report also claims that the remake has been in development for several years and that an announcement is imminent. No other details were revealed. Areajugones has leaked several PlayStation Plus announcements and the new DualSense colours. This claim is significantly bigger than any of its previous leaks so it’s best not to get your hopes up.
