The credits for Striking Distance Studios’ The Callisto Protocol has revealed that over 150 employees from the PlayStation Studios group contributed toward the development of the game. Whilst we know that the Visual Arts Services Group assisted with the motion capture and cinematics for the game we now also know that PlayStation Studios Malaysia also contributed towards the development.
It’s unclear as to how PlayStation Studios Malaysia assisted. PlayStation Studios Malaysia currently operates as a support studio and assists with first-party titles like The Last of Us Part I and MLB The Show. This is not the first time that PlayStation Studios assisted external teams, over 100 employees from the group worked on Star Wars Jedi. PlayStation Studios also contributed toward Star Wars Battlefront II and Resident Evil Village.
This is however the largest contribution toward an external game that we know about.
