Job listings from Visual Arts Services Group have revealed that the studio is building a new internal game development with assistance from Naughty Dog. Visual Arts Services Group is a support studio within the PlayStation Studios team that assists with motion capture, animation and more.
The new development team will work on an unannounced AAA title under the supervision of Naughty Dog. Whilst no specifics about the game were revealed, the job listings state that it will have a “high visual quality bar”.
The requirements for the job state that applicants must have “two or more published AAA titles, at least one of which must have been as a Senior Producer during the entire development cycle”. This is a hint that the project is a big-budget one.
Both of these make it seem like Visual Arts Services Group will be working on the Uncharted IP, something Naughty Dog had originally intended for Bend Studio to do. Bend Studio rejected the opportunity in favour of working on a new IP. No other details about the Visual Arts Service Group team were revealed.
