Hideo Kojima, founder and president of Kojima Productions, has confirmed that he has several acquisition offers for his studio, some of which were “ridiculously high”. Kojima-san claims that he rejected the offers because he wants to remain independent as it allows him to make what he wants to make.

Kojima-san has also revealed that neither he nor his studio has no affiliation with Blue Box Studios, the studio behind the PlayStation 5 game Abandoned. Kojima-san claims that he has been receiving on average 20 collages and deep fake images which has become “quite a nuisance”.

Kojima-san and Hasan Kahraman, founder of Blue Box Studios, have long been rumored to be working on a horror game together. Hasan previously debunked these claims but many fans believed that this project was related to Silent Hill and a frenzy of claims was made.
