An official Silent Hill YouTube channel has gone live with listings for the English and Japanese versions of the upcoming Silent Hill showcase event. The description of the showcase reveals that a Silent Hill 2 remake will be revealed during the event. The metadata also reveals that another game titled Silent Hill: Ascension will be revealed, both games are tagged with PlayStation and Steam. This doesn’t necessarily rule out other platforms but it looks like both games will only be on PlayStation and PC.

Also in the metadata is a listing for Return to Silent Hill, this is the rumored title for the new Silent Hill movie. Last week Christophe Gans, director of the Silent Hill movie, claimed that he was working with Konami and members of Team Silent on a new movie. Gans also claimed that there are multiple Silent Hill games in development at several teams. More details about Konami’s plans for Silent Hill will be revealed later today during the showcase.
