Netflix has announced that Gokushufudou (The Way of the Househusband) will be getting a second season in January 2023, more details about the second season will be shared at a later date. Netflix has also confirmed that the second season will be produced by the same team as the first and that the cast will return to reprise their roles.

Gokushufudou is based on Kousuke Oono’s manga series of the same name. Oono-san launched the manga in February 2018, the series has since produced over 10 volumes worth of content. As of 2019 the manga had sold over 1.2 million copies, no further sales or shipment updates have been revealed.
