Nihon Falcom has announced that its The Legend of Heroes: Trails franchise has sold over 7 million copies worldwide, the previous sales update was in September 2020 when the franchise hit the 5 million milestone. The latest game in the franchise, The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II -CRIMSON SiN-, is due out on the 29th of September 2022 in Japan for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The next Western release is The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero which is due out on the 27th of September 2022 for the PlayStation 4, PC and Switch.
