Sega has announced Like a Dragon 8 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series. Like a Dragon 8 is a direct sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon and will feature both Ichiban Kasuga, protagonist of Yakuza: Lika a Dragon, and Kazuma Kiryu, protagonist of all other Yakuza games. The game is due out in 2024 and will be Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s largest game to date. It will also retain the turn-based combat from the previous game, more details will be shared at a later date.
