Electronic Arts has announced that it has opened a new studio, Ridgeline Games, in Seattle to work on single-player campaigns for the Battlefield franchise. Ridgeline Games will be led by Marcus Lehto, co-creator of the Halo franchise, and will be comprised of industry veterans. The studio opened in October 2021 and has been on a hiring spree for its debut project. DICE plans to continue supporting Battlefield 2042, the second season was released in August 2022 and a third season has also been confirmed.

No other details were revealed.
