Jim Ryan, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, has revealed that Phil Spencer has offered to keep the Call of Duty franchise on PlayStation consoles for three years beyond PlayStation’s existing deal with Activision. Whilst it’s unclear as to when the existing deal expires, several insiders have hinted that it will end in 2024, meaning that Call of Duty could leave PlayStation consoles in 2027. Ryan has claimed that this offer is “inadequate on many levels” and that he did not intend to make this information public but decided to so he could “set the record straight” now that Phil Spencer brought the deal into the public forum.
