Toei’s One Piece Film: Red sold over 8.6 million tickets at the Japanese Box Office, earning over ¥12 billion yen ($87 million) after almost a full month. One Piece Film: Red has also surpassed Studio Khara’s Shin Evangelion Gekijouban: || (Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time) and entered the top 10 highest-grossing anime movies of all time in Japan, it currently ranks 29th in all genres. The movie is also the fastest movie of 2022 to reach the ¥10 billion milestone ($73 million), doing so in just 20 days.
The movie will come to the Western cinemas this Fall in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the USA via Crunchyroll, the Western release will be available in both English sub and dub.
