Eiichiro Oda, creator of One Piece, and Hideaki Anno, creator of Evangelion, have both recommended Yuki Suenaga and Takamasa Moue’s Akane-banashi manga series. Akane-banashi follows the titular character Akane as she attempts to make a career in the art of Rakugo storytelling.

Eiichiro Oda was the first established creator to recommend the series and his seal of approval was even added to the cover of the first volume of the manga. Anno-san’s recommendation will be added to the second volume when it is released later in August 2022.

The Akane-banashi manga is published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.
