James Gunn, director of the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, has confirmed that both he and Suda51, director and writer of the No More Heroes series, are not working on the Lollipop Chainsaw remake from Dragami Games. Gunn was the co-writer for the original whilst Suda-san co-directed it.
Gunn claims that Dragami Games did not approach or inform either of them about the remake and that he only found out about its existence a few days ago. Gunn also went on to say that he’s not against it nor does he endorse it and that he just wants to make it clear that he was not approached to work on the project.
The Lollipop Chainsaw remake is due out in 2023, not platforms for the game were revealed.
