Dragami Games has announced that it is working on a Lollipop Chainsaw remake, the remake will release in 2023 however no platforms for the game were revealed. The is being produced by Yoshimi Yasuda, producer of the original Lollipop Chainsaw, and the development staff consists of several members from the original staff.

Yasuda-san has confirmed that the development team is trying to recreate the original Lollipop Chainsaw game with the remake but that it will have its own “key differences”. Yasuda-san also confirmed that they are going for a more realistic art style due to the power of next-gen hardware. The remake will also feature a new soundtrack due to licensing issues.

Dragami Games has also confirmed that it has purchased the Lollipop Chainsaw IP from Kadokawa Games and that Warner Brothers are supporting the game. It’s currently unclear as to how Warner Brothers are involved at this point. Yasuda-san did not share more details about the game.
