A new report from Gamereactor has claimed that Sony Santa Monica Studio’s God of War Ragnarok for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 has been delayed to 2023. Sony Interactive Entertainment has yet to confirm a delay. Cory Barlog, director of game development at Sony Santa Monica Studio, assured fans earlier this year that the game was still on track for a 2022 release and merchandise for the game has also been listed with a September 2022 release window.

The listing for God of War Ragnarok on the PlayStation database has also changed the release date for the game to the 31st of December 2022, which is likely another placeholder date. The previous release date was the 30th of September 2022. The rumored delay for God of War Ragnarok could also be due to The Last of Us remake, which has yet to be announced, potentially releasing in September. Insider “The Snitch” claimed that the remake would release on the 2nd of September 2022 for PlayStation and PC.
