Katsuhiro Harada, general manager at Bandai Namco and director of the Tekken series, has revealed that Tekken 7 has sold over 9 million copies worldwide. This makes it the best selling game in the series, surpassing Tekken 3 which sold 8.3 million copies on the PlayStation 2. The last sales update for Tekken 7 was in March 2021 when it reached the 7 million milestone. Harada-san also revealed that the Tekken franchise has sold over 53 million copies to date. Tekken 7 is available on the PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One.
