CD Projekt Red has announced that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will release in the fourth quarter of 2022. The PS5 and Xbox Series versions of the game will be available for free for existing owners. CD Projekt Red are developing the next-gen versions internally after pulling development from Saber Interactive.
CD Projekt Red previously confirmed that the PS5 and Xbox Series versions were not in development hell when it delayed it past the Q2 2022 release window. CD Projek Red stated that the new internal development team needed to access the work that was required and that it did not want to pressure the team.
