Ubisoft has confirmed that Ubisoft Pune will no longer be working on Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, the game will now be developed by Ubisoft Montreal. No specific reason for the shift was provided but the game has been delayed twice whilst in development at Ubisoft Pune and it is currently without a release date. The game has also been heavily criticised due to the poor visuals. The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is due out for the PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One.

The development of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will now be led by Ubisoft Montreal, the very birth place of the epic Sands of Time trilogy.

This decision is an important step and the team, building upon the work achieved by Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai, will now take the time they need to regroup on the scope of the game to deliver you the best experience for this remake of an all-time classic, when it’s ready.
