Crystal Dynamics has announced that Jane Foster: The Mighty Thor will be the next playable coming to Marvel’s Avengers, she will join the roster as part of the 2.5 update of the game. No release window for the update was revealed but version 2.4 of Marvel’s Avengers is scheduled for May 2022.

Nick, a verified developer at Crystal Dynamics, also revealed via Reddit that the studio is no longer working on updates for the game through a traditional roadmap. Instead, the studio is focusing on smaller updates. Nick, username CD_NickE, also revealed that the team need to reset before the studio can commit to a long term plan of action.

Square Enix has previously confirmed that Marvel’s Avengers failed to meet sales expectations and attributed it as one of the main reasons for their financial performance. Square Enix has also committed to supporting the game.
