The MiSK Foundation has acquired a 96.18% stake in SNK Corporation through EGDC. The acquisition process began in February 2022 just before the release of The King of Fighters XV. The MiSK Foundation held a 51% stake in the company as of March 2021. The MiSK Foundation is owned by Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia. Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud also invested in Capcom, Electronic Arts, Nexon and Take-Two. The crown prince has been heavily criticised across the world for alleged involvement in the assassination of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, the forceful removal and killing Huwaiti tribe members and the support of Chinese concentration camps for Muslims.
