Venturebeat’s Jeff Grubb has revealed that Sony is working on native PlayStation 3 backwards compatibility for the PlayStation 5. Grubb also revealed that it would take some time before we get it. Earlier this week Sony Interactive Entertainment introduced us to the new tiered PlayStation Plus that offered classic games from the PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable. Classic games will be available to download and play natively or via streaming with the exception of PS3 titles which are only available via streaming. Sony has yet to reveal whether PlayStation Vita classic titles are planned for the service.
