A new report from Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier and Takashi Mochizuki has revealed that Sony Interactive Entertainment could reveal its new game subscription service, codenamed “Spartacus”, as early as next week. Spartacus is Sony Interactive Entertainment’s answer to Microsoft’s Game Pass subscription service and it will reportedly launch with “a splashy lineup of hit games from recent years.” Unlikely Game Pass, however, Spartacus won’t include PlayStation first-party titles at launch.

As previously reported Spartacus will be a tiered subscription service that will replace PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now, here’s what the tiers will include:

  • Tier 1: PlayStation Plus
  • Tier 2: PlayStation Plus and access to a catalogue of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games.
  • Tier 3: PlayStation Plus, access to a catalogue of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games and access to a collection of classic games from the PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable. Access to exclusive trials.
