Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the acquisition of Haven Studios, terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Haven Studios is a newly formed studio by Jade Raymond, managing director on Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Watch Dogs, Assassin’s Creed Unity and Far Cry 4. Haven Studios and Sony Interactive Entertainment had previously partnered on a new AAA live-service title for the PlayStation 5, the studio currently consists of 60 employees and is still in the process of hiring. Haven Studios will continue to be run independently and will collaborate with Sony Interactive Entertainment management.

The studio’s focus on creating an original AAA multiplayer game will not only flex the power of PlayStation 5, but will further expand upon the diverse catalog of gaming experiences that can only be found on PlayStation.
