Square Enix has announced that they will be hosting a 5th-anniversary live stream for NieR: Automata, the live stream will take place on the 23rd of February 2022 at 18:00 JST and will be available on Niconico. The live stream will have a casual format and will feature an announcement, no other details about the announcement were revealed. Yoko Taro, creative director of the NieR series, Yosuke Saito, producer of the NieR series, Keiichi Okabe, composer of the NieR series, and Takahisa Taura, senior game designer of the NieR series. An anime adaptation of the NieR series has been rumored to be in production, Square Enix has also registered the “nier-anime” domain.
