Take-Two Interactive has announced updated sales figures for its franchises, revealing that Grand Theft Auto V has sold over 160 million copies worldwide, up 5 million from the previous quarter. This makes Grand Theft Auto V the fastest title to reach $1 billion in retail sales in entertainment history.

Take-Two Interactive has also confirmed that the Grand Theft Auto series has sold over 370 million copies worldwide, the latest release in the franchise was Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series. The game is also due out on mobile platforms this year.

Take-Two Interactive also confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2 has sold almost 43 million copies worldwide, this is up 39 million from the previous quarter. The Red Dead franchise has sold over 43 million copies worldwide, Take-Two Interactive has also claimed that Red Dead Redemption 2 was the second-best performing title in the US over the last three years based on dollar sales.

Take-Two Interactive has also confirmed that Borderlands 3 has sold over 15 million copies worldwide, up 1 million from the previous quarter. This makes Borderlands 3 the fastest-selling 2K game of all time. The Borderlands franchise has now sold over 74 million copies worldwide. The BioShock series has also sold 39 million copies worldwide, this is up 1 million from the previous quarter.
