2021 was somewhat of a disappointing year for video games, we got a number of really good games but nothing stellar, at least not when you compare to the previous years. Sony Interactive Entertainment released a couple of great exclusives and a few anti-consumer remas…I mean Director’s Cuts. Microsoft released three of best games this year and continued to build on the incredible value of Game Pass, which somehow ended up in Game Pass winning “Game of the Year” from a number of websites, which makes sense given how many times Netflix has won the “Best Picture” award. Then there’s Nintendo who finally improved their online subscription service by releasing, or rather drip feeding, N64 games with somewhat questionable emulation for an increased price. Finally, we have Stadia…which lived another year I guess. Anyway, here’s the best of 2021.
