Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan has announced that the servers for Freedom Wars, Soul Sacrifice and Soul Sacrifice Delta on the PlayStation Vita will be shut down on the 24th of December 2021, making it impossible to play the games online except through ad-hoc. The announcement was made on the PlayStation Japan website but it’s unlikely that the servers will remain up in the West. It’s more likely that Sony Interactive Entertainment forgot that the Vita existed. All three games have seen a resurgence in 2021 resulting in the multiplayer servers being quite populated. The server shut down will not effect the ability to earn the Platinum trophy on Soul Sacrifice and Soul Sacrifice Delta, it will however prevent you from earning the Freedom Wars Platinum.
