The official One Piece movie website source code has revealed that a new movie is in production, the movie is titled One Piece Film: Red and is scheduled to premiere on the 6th of August 2022. One Piece Film: Red will reportedly revolve around Shanks, the movie will be by Goro Taniguchi (Code Geass) and the script will be written by Kuroiwa Tsutomu (Kuroshitsuji). Eiichiro Oda, creator of the One Piece series, will supervise the project. The official announcement will likely take place today during the premiere of the 1000th One Piece anime episode.
UPDATE: One Piece Film: Red was announced during the broadcast of the 1000th episode of the One Piece anime series. A teaser trailer for the movie was also released. The movie will also introduce an original female character. No other details were revealed.
