Team Ninja, developers of the Dead or Alive, Ninja Gaiden and Nioh series, has announced that Masaaki Yamagiwa has joined the studio. Yamagiwa-san was one of the producers of Bloodborne and Tokyo Jungle, he left Sony Interactive Entertainment in February 2021 when the company shut down Japan Studio. The news broke when Yamagiwa-san met with Shuhei Yoshida, head of indies at Sony Interactive Entertainment, and Fumihiko Yasuda, director of the Nioh series. No other details were revealed.
