Kojima Productions has announced that Death Stranding has sold over 5 million copies worldwide across the PlayStation 4 and PC. The PS4 version of the game was released on the 8th of November 2019, the game was then released on PC on the 14th of July 2020. Jay Boor, head of publishing at Kojima Productions, says that they believe the game performed quite well and that the studio is optimistic about the release of Death Stranding Director’s Cut for the PlayStation 5.
