Just to avoid any confusion, this is a trophy guide for the first Mass Effect game on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The trophy list for Mass Effect Legendary Edition is far easier than the original list. You no longer need to play on Insanity difficulty, your squadmates ability usages count towards the trophies and best of all, everything can be achieved on a single playthrough. In this guide, you will find everything you need to know to ensure that you achieve the Platinum on your first run.

Details via BioWare:

The galaxy is trapped in an endless cycle of extinction. Every 50,000 years, an ancient machine race invades with ruthless efficiency, wiping out all advanced organic civilization. They leave behind only the scattered ruins of technology, and they destroy all evidence of their own existence.

Few believe this ancient legend. You, however, know it to be true. The fight to stop this extinction event has become the most important mission in the galaxy.

And it is your mission. As Commander Shepard of the SS Normandy, take your elite recon squad across a galaxy in turmoil in a desperate race to stop the return of an enemy without mercy. To stop this enemy, you must act without remorse, without hesitation, and outside the limits of the law. Your only imperative is to preserve the safety of civilized life in the galaxy—and at any cost. You must become the tip of the spear of humanity, for you alone know the full extent of what is at stake if you fail.

Principled: ME1: Accumulate 75% of total possible Paragon or Renegade points (GOLD)

You can actually achieve this one very early on but provided you are either playing a mostly Paragon/Renegade route you should get this naturally.

If you want to grind this one early on the follow these steps when you get to Noveria.

  • After agreeing to help Gianna Parasini, speak to Lorik Qui’in and tell him that you have the evidence.
  • Convince him to testify using Charm or Intimidate.
  • When you exit the conversation go speak to him again and ask him about Matriarch Benezia, choose “Another Question”. You should then be able to use the dialogue to convince him to testify again.
  • Repeat this until the trophy pops.

Charismatic: ME1: Use Charm or Intimidate to resolve an impossible situation (BRONZE)

The earliest possible time you can achieve this is on Virmire, it requires you to have at least 8 points in Charm or Intimidate.

  • Virmire: During the mission on Virmire Shepard will have a confrontation with Wrex, you will need at least 8 points to convince him to remain on your side. Alternatively, if you helped Wrex with his personal quest, Wrex: Family Armor, you won’t need the Charm or Intimidate points to get the trophy.
  • Endgame: The other opportunity you have to get this is during the final fight against Saren. Before your fight, Saren and Shepard will have one final conversation in which you can convince him that he is in the wrong.
