Ubisoft has announced that they are producing a live-action movie adaptation of The Division. The movie will be available exclusively on Netflix and will be directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber (We’re the Millers, Central Intelligence) and will star Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain. The movie will follow the events of the first game in the series. No other details were revealed.

Ubisoft also confirmed that an original novel set in The Division universe is in the works by Aconyte. The novel will take place after the events of The Division 2 and will detail the effect of the outbreak on the other regions of the USA as other agents attempt to secure trade routes.
