Denuvo has announced that they will be bringing their anti-cheat middleware to the PlayStation 5. Irdeto, the parent company of Denuvo, confirmed that their software will prevent people from altering game experiences on the system. Denuvo is best known for their anti-piracy software on PC, their anti-piracy software has also been known to cause issues with the performance of games. Both Devil May Cry V and Resident Evil 2 eventually had the software removed because of such issues. Irdeto did not reveal when the software will be available or which games would make use of it.
