Ubisoft has announced that The Division series has surpassed 40 million players. Ubisoft also confirmed that a new game mode is currently in development for The Division 2 and that Ubisoft Massive will be working with Ubisoft Bucharest on future content updates with Ubisoft Bucharest.

In addition to the new game mode, the next content update Ubisoft Massive will be introducing new ways to progress your character. This will include more variety in agent builds and abilities. This content update is expected to take several months to complete, as a result, Season 5 for The Division 2 will be a re-run of Season 1.
