Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, supreme leader of Iran, has passed a ruling that states all female anime and cartoon characters will be required to wear a hijab. Khamenei believes that this required due to the consequences of not wearing a hijab, he did not details what the consequences are. Khamenei previously stated that he was concerned about young girls growing up and not wearing a hijab.
