Masaaki Yamagiwa, producer of Bloodborne, Deracine, and Tokyo Jungle, has announced that he will be leaving Sony Interactive Entertainment at the end of February 2021. Yamagiwa-san did not reveal where he’ll be working next but he did confirm that he will continue working on video games.

Yamagiwa-san is the next in a long list of Japanese creators to leave Sony Interactive Entertainment. Teruyuki Toriyama, producer of Bloodborne and Demon’s Souls (2020), Keiichiro Toyama, creator of the Gravity Rush, Silent Hill and Siren franchises, Kazunobu Sato and Junya Okura also left Sony in December 2020.
