Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia has confirmed that they will be discontinuing all PlayStation 4 Slim models except one and all PlayStation 4 Pro models in Japan. The only PS4 console that will be available in the region will be the Jet Black 500GB model. Sony will use the freed-up production lines to manufacture PlayStation 5 consoles. The PS5 is currently facing major stock shortages worldwide.
