The Kimetsu no Yaiba Movie: Mugen Ressha-hen (Demon Slayer Movie: Infinity Train) movie has sold 24,049,907 tickets at the Japanese box office, equating to 32,478,895,850 Yen ($314 million), after 73 days. This means that the Kimetsu no Yaiba movie is now the highest-grossing movie of all time in Japan, surpassing Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away. The Kimetsu no Yaiba movie is only the second movie to surpass 30 billion Yen at the Japanese box office and is also the fastest movie to reach the milestone, Spirited Away took 253 days to reach it.

MAL Synopsis:

Tanjirou Kamado and his friends from the Demon Slayer Corps accompany Kyoujurou Rengoku, the Flame Hashira, to investigate a mysterious series of disappearances occurring inside a train. Little do they know that Enmu, one of the Twelve Kizuki, is also on board and has prepared a trap for them.
