CD Projekt Red has revealed that Sony Interactive Entertainment and Microsoft passed Cyberpunk 2077 certification application because they expected the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game to be patched by the time the game released. CD Projekt Red also clarified that whilst they have suggested refunding digital copies of the game, no special exception has been made by either Sony or Microsoft, despite alluding so in their most recent apology post.

If you download the game on the PS4 you will not be eligible for a refund, regardless as to whether you actually played the game or not. Sony Interactive Entertainment’s refund policy with Cyberpunk 2077 seems to be all over the place with multiple users claiming that they did receive refunds whilst others have been told to wait for the patch by PlayStation support staff.
