Sony Pictures’ Monster Hunter movie has been pulled from mainland China after just one day in theatres due to outrage over a joke that was found to be racially insensitive. The joke in question is an interaction between two characters where one of the characters remarks “What kind of knees are these? Chi-knees”. Capcom has responded to the outrage saying that they will investigate the situation with the production company. Several users on Steam have also begun to review bomb Monster Hunter: World as a result.
